"Udder Comfort Sprayable Is Really Working"

"We just came through some weather that was 30-plus below zero here, so we're dealing with frozen-teated cows, fighting E. coli mastitis, and seeing a lot of swelling in the udder", says Chet Hansen. He and his father Charles milk 1,000 cows at their 4-c Dairy in Duchesne, Utah. "We used Udder Comfort SprayableTM and it was definitely worth the investment. Right now, we're applying the spray when we see signs of udder stress or red swollen quarters. We use it twice a day for two days. Udder Comfort SprayableTM soothes the swelling,
usually within 24 hours. The cows are responding to the antibiotic treatments a lot better now, so they spend less time in the treatment pen. This is saving us money because we are reducing the number of antibiotic injections and returning cows from the treatment pen to saleable milk in a shorter time frame. We have tried other brands of lotion in the past but didn't see the result as dramatic as we've seen with Udder Comfort SprayableTM. It's extremely easy to use, and I really like the blue color because it identifies the quarter".

“Udder Comfort Is The Best”

Udder ComfortTM  is a great tool to have,” says Raymond Brubacher, We visited with he and his wife Darla while they were milking one morning at Welsh Hill Dairy in Morgantown, the 130 cows, and their daughter Shelly runs Shirk’s Animal Health Store. “Our daughter Shelly brought some Udder ComfortTM home for us to try. I’m not a great one for
trying new products, but after five months I can say Udder ComfortTM
is definitely the best product I have used for udder management. As soon as we see changes in milk consistency, we grab the bottle and massage it on pretty generously – all over the quarter and into the crease – at every milking for a few days. What we see is the problem phasing out. We have found that the result is at least 50% better now because massaging with Udder ComfortTM
soothes the swelling fast, saving about one cow’s worth of milk at every
milking.”

“I Just Love This Product.”

Udder Comfort TM helps us manage our herd in a way that has added longevity. We don’t see the recurring issues we used to see. With Udder ComfortTM, we definitely have more income coming in because we’re getting more milk in the tank, quicker,” reports Chad Fredd, He and his wife Jill operate Grape View Dairy in Westfield, New York. “We apply Udder ComfortTM as soon as we see any swelling at each milking, and we continue to do this for two days after the flakes are gone, I have enough reliability with Udder ComfortTM that I will put my faith in being proactive. We also use Udder ComfortTM for cows that show up on the DHIA test with SCC above 300,000, which we identify with a yellow leg-band. We chart them on the dry-erase board in the parlor, and we can see how their counts drop each month on the report. I just love this product. We also use it for fresh cow swelling and skin sores. We have not found another product that can beat

“I Am Sold On Udder Comfort”

“As dairymen, we need to be looking for ways to do things naturally. Udder ComfortTM has helped us take the next step in achieving that goal helping us go 6 months with zero antibiotics and good results. Not dumping milk is a huge savings,” says Dean Jackson. “I’m sold on Udder ComfortTM
because we see the results in our own herd. We measured the somatic cell counts (SCC) of 7 animals and then massaged with Udder ComfortTM for several days. When I compared the results from June to July, Udder ComfortTM
had lowered the SCC on all 17,” his wife Rebecca adds. Along with their children Kyle, Clark, Courtney, and Katie and Dean’s parents Ben and Regina, three generations are involved at the family’s Mt-Glen Farms in Columbia Cross Roads,Pennsylvania – home to 21 Excellent Holsteins. “We have used other peppermint products in the past, Then we read about Udder ComfortTM and committed to using it consistently, massaging the lotion over the entire area and into the seam. It’s a great topical lotion for softening and soothing – udder sores, abrasions, even a swollen hock. It is easy and convenient, taking just 30 seconds to a minute to rub it on. We are also happy with the results on fresh cows with udder swelling, especially the first calf heifers. We apply
Udder Comfort
TM an average of four days, and they soften right up Udder ComfortTM has definitely helped us improve our udder management.”

“I Am A Big Believer In Udder Comfort”

“I have tried other products, but Udder ComfortTM is the best I have used. We have had really good success with it,” says Kevin Mathison.
He and his wife Julie operate Oak Glen Dairy in Mora, Minnesota, where they have been using Udder ComfortTM since January. “Every time I think there is an udder issue, I apply Udder ComfortTM after the quarter is milked. If I see a positive trend after the first milking, I hold off
on the antibiotics. If results are marginal, then I treat, but I still continue massaging with Udder ComfortTM to soften the quarter. I like knowing that I have an alternative, and I don’t have to worry about the milk tank. We use about 75% less antibiotics now – that’s quite a bit of milk saved, even on a small herd like ours. With Udder Comfort, it takes only half the time
now to get a fresh udder back into shape. Massaging with Udder ComfortTM rapidly soothes the swelling. By catching the different texture in the udder early, and applying Udder ComfortTM , I feel we are more proactive with our udder management. ”

“A valuable tool in udder management”

“I was skeptical at first, but I have found Udder ComfortTM
to be a valuable tool in udder management,” says Steve Meyers, who especially likes the Blue marker. “If someone else does the milking, it gives them the idea to check the cow for reapplication and to see how she is doing. As soon as we see a change in milk consistency, we massage with Udder ComfortTM.
If the trend looks good after three days, we continue applying Udder ComfortTM
for a day or two longer. If not, we start treating with antibiotics. Proactive management with Udder ComfortTM means we use less antibiotics I figure we’re shipping about 300 extra pounds of milk every week.”

The Meyers Brothers Dairy herd of 180 registered Holsteins and 25 registered Jerseys (Campbell Run) is managed for somatic cell counts of 200,000 for milk quality premiums. They breed for type, fat, and protein, and the herd reflects this with 15 EX Holsteins and 3EX Jerseys. The Meyers sell about 20 to 30 cows each year through breed sales. “The appearance of the cow is still very important to us,” Meyer’s notes. “Udder ComfortTM soothes
udder swelling and softens and conditions the skin.”

“Udder Comfort Is A Management Decision That Really Works”

“For us, Udder ComfortTM is a management decision that really works,” says Jim Sattler. He and his wife Lisa and his parents John and Georgia operate Poy Sippi Holsteins in Waushara County, Wisconsin. “Since March, we have been using Udder ComfortTM for on all of our fresh cows by rubbing it on the whole udder after milking, for 3 milkings. We also rub it on hard quarters. What we see is the texture of the udder softens and the swelling goes down. You have to save all the milk you can at today’s prices, treating every problem with antibiotics means wasting milk. Out of 19 cows in past seven months, we have had to use antibiotic treatments on only 3. We have also noticed that we haven’t had as much mastitis with our fresh heifers after they start milking. When fresh swelling is relieved it just seems to help the cow get into the full flow of milk. Since we started using Udder Comfort TM as a management tool, we have noticed our herd somatic cell count (SCC) has dropped by 60,000. Udder Comfort TM is valuable for udder quality. We had a 90-point Excellent cow come in with a problem 4 days before classification, so we massaged with Udder ComfortTM after every milking for those 4 days. She ended up classifying Ex 90-2E.”
